Open the ePoster for Windows software, if the ePoster and the computer already connected through USB or they connected to the same network, the ePoster will show up in the software.
Click the ePoster in the device list, you will be able to operate the ePoster on the right side panel.
If the ePoster and the computer are not connected yet, or you want to change the connection type, use one of the below methods:
Method 1: USB cable
Use the included USB Type A to Type B cable to connect the computer to the ePoster, the ePoster will show up in the software.
(If you cannot connect to the ePoster with other methods listed below, use this method)
Note: Some cases the ePoster doesn't show up in the software after connecting the USB cable. try: 1. reconnect by unplug and re-plug the USB cable, especially when the computer wakeup from sleep state. 2. Restart the ePoster.
Method 2: WiFi Hot Spot
The ePoster is in WiFi hot spot mode when out of factory. In this mode, the ePoster is a WiFi router, the computer can connect to it through WiFi.
On the computer, click the WiFi icon in the tray area, select the ePoster’s WiFi name, by default, it’s the same with the Serial Number, the default password is 123456789
Once connected, the device name and model will show up in the software.
If the ePoster’s WiFi SSID is not showing in the WiFi list, the ePoster may not in the WiFi hot spot mode, we can use method 1 to connect to the device, and in the Network Settings section, click Modify:
Then select WiFi hotspot, edit the name and password
click OK, after a few seconds, the SSID will show up in the WiFi list.
Method 3: WiFi
When the ePoster is connected to the computer (if not, see other methods), in the Network Settings section, select Modify, the network setting will show up, select WiFi, input the router’s SSID and password, click OK.
If the computer is connected to the same WiFi, the ePoster will show up in the software.
Method 4: LAN
